The Joint Interoperability Text Command says the IP-based call and messaging suite complies with the interoperability requirements of DOD’s Collaboration Suite.

The Defense Department’s Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) recently certified Interactive Intelligence Group Inc.’s Customer Interaction Center (CIC) for purchase and use by DOD organizations.

The CIC is an all-in-one IP communication software suite that offers an array of IP-based business features, including IP PBX switching, interactive voice response, unified messaging, predictive dialing and desktop conferencing and a web-based contact center.

Interactive Intelligence Group specializes in software and service offerings, including cloud and on-premises systems for contact center, unified communications, and business process automation. With the certification, CIC 4.0 will be included on DOD’s  approved products list.

JITC certification also means the CIC platform complies with the information assurance and interoperability requirements of the DOD’s Collaboration Suite, a VoIP-based contact and call center connected to the Defense Switched Network.

The platform is also used by the Commerce, Veterans Affairs, Energy and Homeland Security departments, among others.

CIC also offers pre-integration with Microsoft Active Directory and PKI and Common Access Cards for single sign-on to the desktop and telephony services.

The JITC, which operates test facilities at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., and Indian Head, Md., manages several defense technology certification programs, including DOD’s IPv6 Product Certification and the Defense Switching Network Special Interoperability.
