As the Easter season quickly approaches and people begin putting up their decorations, many retailers, including Costco, have announced that their stores will be closed on April 20 in order to observe the Easter holiday.<\/p>\n
Costco confirmed this on its official website and it comes as no surprise as the wholesale giant also pauses operations for Labor Day or Thanksgiving. Shoppers should ensure all of their plastic eggs, chocolates, and candies are purchased early on as no stores will be open for any last minute Easter shopping.<\/p>\n
Parallel to this, the alternate warehouse choice, Sam’s Club, will also be shutting down operations on April 20 so as to celebrate Easter Sunday.\u00a0According to the Walmart-run wholesaler’s official website, the stores will be fully closed for Easter Sunday, as well as on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day.<\/p>\n
Where to find the best deals this Easter<\/h2>\n
The Easter period immediately brings the thought of kids running around, hunting for candy-filled plastic eggs to mind. But since this is a single-use item for the holiday, where is the most budget friendly place to shop for it?<\/p>\n
One would assume the top retailers like Walmart, Target would have good deals. Alternatively, a dollar store like Dollar Tree seems like an obvious choice. However, surprisingly, all three of these options have been beat on price points this year.<\/p>\n
A multi-pack at Walmart is going for $0.98, whilst Target has a pack on offer for $1 as per the retailer’s website. Dollar Tree, shockingly enough, is the most expensive of the lot, with a six pack of eggs on offer for $1.25 — however, it should be noted that the Dollar Tree eggs measure 4.8″ across, making it twice the size of the ones sold by Walmart and Target.<\/p>\n
According to\u00a0The Sun’s<\/em> research, the most cost-efficient place to shop for plastic eggs this Easter season is actually the American Carnival Mart. A pack of six plastic easter eggs is going for $0.50 at this retailer and whilst the retailer does not list exactly how wide the eggs are, the website does state that they measure 3.25″ in length.<\/p>\nWhat is the best candy for the holiday?<\/h2>\n
Peeps marshmallows are a crowd favorite as it is both cute to look at with its dainty baby chicken shape, and it is a sugary sweet treat enjoyed by kids all over. Now, for a limited time, it appears the iconic marshmallow has been turned into a drink to be enjoyed with your Easter Sunday lunch.<\/p>\n
