The fallout of this is to further promote online sales instead. The company has also been facing major backlash after giving in to pressure from the conservative think tank that resulted in the discontinuation of DEI policies within the company.<\/p>\n<p>As such, the retailer has now set various plans in motion to keeps its current customer base as well as to bring in new traffic &#8212; particularly digital traffic.<\/p>\n<h2>Membership system at Walmart<\/h2>\n<p>The grocery giant offers a paid membership system to its customers that allows them to enjoy extra benefits such as discounted pricing, exclusive deals, and free delivery. The program has two plan options &#8212; a monthly payment of $12.95 or an annual payment of $98 (which works out to $8.17 a month). Additionally, if you are on a government support plan, you can sign up for a membership at a 50% discounted fee rate. Anyone who signs up gets a free trial month regardless of plan type.<\/p>\n<h2>Membership benefits<\/h2>\n<p>Walmart+ membership holders can enjoy a wide array of deals and benefits to add extra convenience and savings to their shopping experiences. Some of these benefits include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Free delivery of your groceries directly from the store. There is a $35 spend minimum.<\/li>\n<li>Free shipping for online purchases with no order minimum. Marketplace items may incur a shipping cost.<\/li>\n<li>Free returns fetched directly from your home.<\/li>\n<li>Members can save 10\u00a2 per gallon at over 13,000 stations across the country. This includes Exxon, Mobil, Walmart &amp; Murphy. Sam&#8217;s Club fuel centers also honor member prices.<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy movie night every night with a free Paramount+ subscription included in your Walmart+ membership at no additional cost.<\/li>\n<li>Drive with comfort knowing Walmart Auto Care Centers will repair your tires and give you a road hazard warranty for free.<\/li>\n<li>Scan your phone to checkout faster.<\/li>\n<li>Early access to deals.<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy a 25% discounted meal at Burger King daily. You can also claim a free Whopper once every 3 months.<\/li>\n<li>Pet owners can enjoy 24\/7 access to veterinary experts via the Pawp app.<\/li>\n<li>Receive up to 5% Walmart Cash when booking hotels, vacations, tours, and car rentals. Air Travel will yield a 2% Walmart Cash return.
