In 2026, Honor Mobile is set to release the “First AI Robot Phone”. The device will perform the functionalities of a smartphone and feature a robotic arm that will aid the user in performing tasks on the smartphone, as well as perform tasks on its own that a user would require, and have the functionality to interact with the user in a proactive manner. At the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit in November 2025, CEO Li Jian announced the device, which boasts a rippled mechanical arm with a gimbal camera, marking the first milestone for Honor within its Alpha Strategy.

The Honor Robot Phone’s camera module will feature a motorized, flipping, 360-degree gimbal that will perform auto-tracking and selfie snapping. The camera will have 4K Ultra HD for its vlogging functions, as well as AI-controlled framing. This camera will enable vlogging from any flat surface, as well as from any pocket, bag, shirt, or hands-free from a bike or scooter. The camera will also have a standard camera mode and will be able to perform self-flipping functions. The phone learns from the user by analyzing scenes, attempting to predict the user’s intent, and taking action on its own; moving from a passive to a proactive device.
Multi-modal intelligence integrates various kinds of sensors to provide context-aware responses, such as adaptive notifications based on tone, or content capture that auto-activates during scenes of interest. This considerably advances the human-machine relationship. The “robo-face” lens that follows its subjects to aid in navigation or to care for security surveillance without direct supervision is a far cry from the sci-fi AI of the past, and cutting-edge chatbots of the present.
