SonicWall announced the first complete, fully integrated Gen 8 product suite in a series of multi-year Investments on August 13, 2025. The lowest powered model, the TZ280, is designed for very small offices, and the highest powered model, the NSa 5800, is designed for larger, distributed corporations. Their products incorporate fully functional, high-speed, high-capacity threat protection, complex and fully versatile firewall-integrated products.

The mature operational DevOps products in the Gen 8 series comprise:
- Unified Management: SonicWall Unified Management gives service providers a single pane of glass to view firewalls, policies, and access controls across multiple tenants, decreasing operational overhead and easing administrative tasks.
- Incorporated Zero Trust: Every Generation 8 firewall comes with automatic ZTNA licenses to enable secure, identity-based access to cloud and private apps. ZTNA replaces old VPN technologies with more flexible, granular access control.
