European consultancy firm Valcon has completed another strategic acquisition, this time targeting Sweden’s specialized data and artificial intelligence market. The Stockholm-based Bricobomba brings cutting-edge expertise that could reshape Valcon’s competitive position across Scandinavia. This move represents more than simple expansion—it signals a calculated effort to dominate emerging technology sectors. The timing couldn’t be more strategic for both companies involved.

Acquisition enhances the Nordic position of Valcon

Bricobomba is a consulting firm based in Stockholm, Sweden, founded in 2019, employing 35 professionals. The firm is based in Sweden and focuses on areas such as data engineering, cloud-based data platforms, business intelligence, and machine learning, among others. Valcon made a binding purchase agreement with Bricobomba. The acquisition of Bricobomba brings more experts to Valcon, so they can penetrate the greatly expanding market in Sweden.

This acquisition will work as a major strength for Valcon in terms of end-to-end data solutions with AI capabilities in Europe. The data platform framework of Bricobomba is cloud native. This allows clients to build data foundations that are adaptive, scalable, and economically viable. This is in perfect harmony with the market requirements in terms of innovative solutions in the sector of digital infrastructure.

The niche solution offered by Bricobomba is their “data platform framework.” Bricobuma’s data platform allows companies to design scalable data platforms adaptively and optimally. The technological solution offered by this company is more based on implementation and does not rely on theories to ensure that their client gets a sure business benefit from it. This has been very fruitful for various business sectors and companies.

Nordic integration creates enhanced regional capabilities

Geert van den Goor, the CEO of Valcon, emphasized the importance of this acquisition to Valcon’s ability to help organizations develop AI-ready foundations. This is the second acquisition made in the Nordic area that year, taking into consideration the acquisition of Beyond Advisors, a Danish-based consultancy firm. The Nordic area is one of the focal points of Valcon in its efforts to establish a strong foundation in the European market.

“It is a pleasure to be a part of the European structure at Valcon,” said Björn Leufstedt, CEO of Bricobomba, obviously excited to join hands with Valcon. But he also acknowledged that “the size, capabilities, and ambition of Valcon offer a perfect backdrop for the next stage of development at Bricobomba.” Both companies are of the opinion that this acquisition allows a superior value-for-money deal for their clients.

“We are delighted to welcome Bricobomba into the Valcon Nordic family. There are great cultural, capability, and industry synergies between the two firms – it has a fantastic team of data, analytics, and platform engineering experts.”

Acquisition is part of a larger European expansion plan

The Bricobomba purchase is also part of the firm’s ambitious plans to establish itself as a top European provider of AI-based business transformations. Its plans are supported by financing partner Rivean Capital Partners, together with its existing financing partner, Waterland. Other regions for expansions via acquisition are the Nordics, Benelux, and the UK. “DACH is our current number one target for geographic expansion.”

The combined company will benefit from its additional 1,700 staff, employing specialized consultants from Valcon. Bricobomba’s unique Nordic format and Valcon’s ability to deliver across Europe will optimize this new company’s advantage as a consultancy organization. The acquisition is an excellent example of the power of a strategic alliance to fuel growth and build on strong organizational traits.
