Abu Dhabi is staking out its position as the Middle East’s automotive powerhouse through a ground-breaking alliance with global manufacturing giant Stellantis. This strategic alliance will make the emirate a regional electric vehicle manufacturing and export hub, having the best technology and international logistics infrastructure. The collaboration marks an important moment in the industrial diversification strategy of the UAE.

Stellantis brings global auto experience to the UAE capital

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Abu Dhabi Ports Group have signed a strategic cooperation contract with Stellantis, one of the world’s largest car manufacturers. This partnership focuses on building an integrated automotive ecosystem to support the vision of making the UAE capital a strategic hub for automotive exports, advanced technologies, and industrial innovation in the Middle East and Africa regions.

Stellantis will work closely with ADIO to examine investment opportunities in the growing automotive sector in Abu Dhabi and the emirate’s competitive advantages, such as world-class logistics infrastructure and a conducive business environment. The company, created in 2021 by the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Groupe PSA, brings a broad and iconic brands, such as the likes of the Peel, the Jeep, Fiat, Citrohan, Dodge, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati to the partnership..

Strategic focus on the Opening of the Middle East and Africa
