The IAA Mobility 2025 motor show in Munich is one of the most important automotive events in Europe this year, with the debut of new groundbreaking electric vehicles, new concept cars, and the latest automotive technologies between the ninth and fourteenth of September, with big manufacturers showing their new inventions on sustainable mobility and innovative automotive design.
BMW unveils radical iX3 electric SUV
In the first-ever Neue Klasse to enter series production, BMW pulls back the curtains to the fully electric BMW iX3. As the Sports Activity Vehicle previews its global debut at the IAA Mobility 2025 exhibit in Munich, it introduces a new design language, which will be repeated throughout the brand’s future model portfolio.
The Neue Klasse is our largest project of the future and a giant leap in technologies, experience, and design, which are the driving forces, says Oliver Zipse, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG. iX3 is set to be produced at the BMW Group Plant Debrecen in Hungary starting in the autumn of 2025.
BMW iX3 is the first vehicle to have the patented Panoramic iDrive in production. The new system that is revolutionary transforms the famous BMW hands on the wheel, eyes on the road, into a new level with BMW Panorama Vision.
Large manufacturers present electric innovations
IAA Mobility 2025 will be hosted in Munich between September 9 and 14, and according to Motor1, it is one of the largest car shows in the entire of Europe. The electric vehicles will be in the center of the action during this year’s event, although dozens of conventional combustion cars and hybrids will also be on display.
It is anticipated that Chinese manufacturers will be well represented in Munich and will present several new products, whereas most American-based brands will not be present at the show, though Ford and Lucid are going to be there. It is attended by a wide variety of European and other international auto manufacturers.
Mercedes-Benz will present the entirely new GLC, which has an entirely new design and, importantly enough, a fully electric motor. Mercedes, based in Stuttgart, will discontinue its EQ sub-brand, instead adopting a traditional naming strategy, with the suffix EQ Technology to the model name.
Volkswagen Group unveils tiny electric range
Wolfs own Volkswagen is one of the most enthusiastic entrants into the 2025 Munich Motor Show, with the newly renamed ID.Polo is taking the lead. The small electric car by the German manufacturer has been a long and complicated process, which was first launched as the concept ID.Life of 2021.
Theย production version, as well as its crossover sibling, the ID.2 X, will debut in Munich (although in concept form). Finishing this trinity will be the new Volkswagen T-Roc, the small German SUV that was recently shown on Instagram by design chief Andreas Mindt.
Porsche shows electric Cayenne prototype
Maybe the pioneer of the most debatable Porsche in recent years is presented in prototype version in Munich: the all-electric Cayenne. As the first step of the brand going battery powered, it will be constructed on the PPE platform and will have various power levels. The gasoline-powered Cayenne will not be canceled but will undergo modifications to stay in production at least up to 2030. Electric Cayenne is a sign of Porsche’s dedication to electrification and preserving performance.
IAA Mobility 2025 has become an essential event in the history of the automotive industry as it signaled the final move towards electric mobility and environmentally friendly transportation. BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, and Porsche have revolutionary debuts that have been unveiled at the Munich show, showing how the traditional manufacturers embrace electrification without losing the recognisable brand and performance.
