Mercedes-Benz has also declared prices for its already hyped 2026 AMG E53 hybrid wagon, with the base being placed at $94500 on its launch in dealerships within the fall, making it the cheapest performance wagon on the market today amid its premium placement and sophisticated powertrain plug-in hybrid technology. The engine produces an output of up to 443 hp with an additional 161 hp in the motor.
Lowest-priced performance wagon in America
As per Motor1, Mercedes has already approved pricing the E53 Wagon that will have a starting price of 94,500 on its arrival in the fall at dealerships. This leaves the E53 eschewing the performance wagon, the cheapest in the US. Volvo has stopped V60 Polestar Engineered, the BMW M5 Touring is priced at $127,675, and the Audi RS6 Avant Performance is priced at $132,995. It also has the Porsche Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, priced at $118,350.
Mercedes is a sort of regression of the RS6 and M5, with 604 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque provided by the plug-in, all-wheel drive powertrain. AMG includes a combination of an engine powered by a 3.0-liter straight-six, which is turbocharged with the exclusive hybrid system between the brand, which is mounted at the rear location.
Power output is increased through the performance package

In the base version, Mercedes states that the 0-60 miles per hour is 4.0 seconds and the top speed is 155 mph; with optional AMG Dynamics Plus, 0-60 is reduced to 3.8 seconds and the top speed is 174 mph.
Premium price over sedan wagon
In 2026, the E53 sedan will cost $90,750; thus, an upgrade to wagon will cost an extra $3750- an upgrade which, according to us, is worth the money. With that said, it is unfortunate that the lowest-performance wagon in America can only cost less than a hundred thousand dollars. The E53 can cut the competition, although it is not a cheap one. Performance wagons are enjoying a touch of a moment, and Mercedes, which had sold fast wagons in the States way back before Audi and BMW, is returning to the fray with its plug-in hybrid E53 Wagon.
