A strong partnership has been formed in the smartphone sector. Aiming to boost its devices and increase competitiveness with major brands, OPPO has officially confirmed that its new Find X9 smartphone line will be equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chip. With this initiative, the devices are expected to improve the user experience with faster usage, more intelligence, and more time away from the outlet.
Oppo bets on intelligent power with the new Dimensity 9500 chip
In recent years, OPPO has adopted a strategy of investing in specific partnerships to drive its innovations, and the new Dimensity 9500 is the latest example. Built with a third-generation architecture called All-Big-Core, the chip delivers significant gains in performance and efficiency. It combines an ultra-fast 4.21 GHz core with seven other cores that ensure power and energy efficiency.
Putting into numbers, it is expected to result in up to 32% better performance in single-core tasks, 17% better performance in multi-core tasks, and a reduction of up to 55% in maximum power consumption compared to the previous generation. Overall, these changes will enable a more fluid user experience and greater battery life, as well as reduced overheating, which are essential factors for improving smartphone usability, especially for those who use them frequently, whether for work or leisure.
Inside, the Arm G1-Ultra graphics processor promises up to 33% more gaming power and 42% greater energy efficiency, enabling console-level visuals. OPPO complements this with a custom cooling system, which helps the Find X9 maintain performance even during long sessions of intense use.
Trinity Engine and ColorOS 16: the union between OPPO hardware and software
Another significant change is that the new generation Find X9 features the Trinity Engine, OPPO’s system that optimizes communication between the CPU, GPU, and memory. According to the company, this computing model predicts power consumption with 90% accuracy, which is a significant improvement, as this accuracy allows for more intelligent resource allocation.
The result is expected to be a more stable experience. Integration with ColorOS 16, based on Android 16, brings new artificial intelligence features such as AI Portrait Glow, which enhances low-light portraits, and AI Recorder, which automatically converts voice recordings to text. Another interesting feature worth noting is native compatibility with the Apple Watch.
Find X9 and X9 Pro: Bigger battery, Hasselblad cameras, and refined design
The new models come in two sizes: the standard Find X9, with a 6.59-inch OLED display and 7,025 mAh battery, and the Find X9 Pro, with a 6.78-inch display and an even larger 7,500 mAh battery. Both versions feature fast charging of up to 90W wired and 50W wireless, and a battery life of up to five years with 80% capacity retained.
The cameras aren’t far behind either, being one of the most widely used devices globally. The Find X9 Pro features a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main lens and a 200MP Hasselblad telephoto lens with hybrid zoom and advanced optical stabilization, which ensures more accurate colors and photographic details.
Find X9 ushers in a new phase in OPPO’s mobile experience
With the new releases, Oppo has worked to secure partnerships and improvements to its products, aiming to improve the usability for its users and consequently attract a greater number of customers, diversifying its audience. With the combination of the Dimensity 9500 chip, the Trinity Engine system, and cutting-edge cameras, OPPO reinforces its place among the most innovative manufacturers on the market.
The Find X9 series, besides representing a major leap in technical quality for the company, is also an attempt to make high-end performance more accessible and intelligent. With a launch date expected to be announced soon, the partnership with MediaTek is expected to mark the beginning of a new phase in the Chinese brand’s mobile experience.
