Costco Products Recall: Important Information
In this one month, the month of July 2025, several products have been recalled due to the aforementioned reasons. Below is a detailed description of the products affected and what the consumers should look out for:
1. Pura Diffusers
On 25 July 2025, Pura took a voluntary corrective action due to some of the Pura Diffusers that may be a safety hazard for consumers. It found that the magnets on the inside of the front cover have the ability to detached. Luckily, no injuries have been reported. However, consumers still have to remain vigilant because the magnets can cause severe injuries, especially if it is swallowed.
To address this issue, Pura is offering free replacement cover for all consumers who are affected by this. This is also the company’s way of highlighting its continuous commitment to customer safety. Units can still be used, by safely removing the affected cover, if consumers are waiting on their replacement. If consumers want to know if their diffuser is affected, they are welcome to contact 855-394-5292.
2. Aboveground swimming pools
On 21 July 2025, a safety recall was issued for a selected group of Power Steel, Steel Pro, and Coleman Power Steel pools that were sold between 2008 and 2024. This recall that was issued by Bestway, alongside the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, targets 48-inch or taller models that has external compression straps. It was found that children tend to use these straps as foothold to enable them to access the pool without adult supervision. As a result, this is posing a significant drowning risk.
Consumers should be on the lookout for item numbers sold by Costco between 2017 and 2024. Some of the numbers include: 1099149, 1179351, 1274360, and other number has been listed on the recall notice. Aboveground swimming Pools that contain internal straps or have a height of under 48 inches, are not impacted. If consumers want to verify if their pool is affected, they are welcome to contact 844-593-4003 or visit the company’s website.
In addition, another voluntary recall of aboveground swimming pools was issued. These are pools that are 48 inches and taller, and that were sold between 2002 and 2012. As issued by Intex Recreation, these pools may consist of a potential drowning hazard. As mentioned above, these are the pools that has external straps that is a serious safety hazard for children.
Affected items include 48″ and 52″ Metal Frame and Ultra Frame pools, including some Costco-sold models. Consumers are welcome to contact Intext Recreation at 1-800-549-8829, to confirm if their pool is affected. They are also welcome to visit the company’s website to view the list of recall items.
3. Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches
On 10 July 2025, a voluntary recall of 40-count, a limited number, of cartons of RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches was issued by Mondelēz Global. These are selected sandwiches that were sold at certain Costco Warehouses and Business Centers between 02 June 2025 and 09 July 2025. These affected peanut butter cracker sandwiches were incorrectly labeled as a cheese variety on the individual packs. Even though, the external cartons are correctly labeled and contain an allergen warning for peanuts, the mislabeling on individual wraps poses a severe health and safety risk for those consumers with peanut allergies.
Customers should be aware of the recalled sandwiches, which can be identified by its Best When Used By dates that ranges from 01 November 2025 to 22 January 2026. Consumers with peanut allergies are encouraged to not consume the product but rather return it to a Costco retailer to receive a full refund.
