Christmas is coming to Costco — 5 top-festive items in the “What’s New?” aisle

One of the year’s most anticipated sales campaigns has been ongoing at popular supermarket chain Walmart and it is here to stay for the whole month of March!

The big box giant is the top retailer in the United States and it has earned itself this title by building a loyal customer base as a result of their competitively low prices and special deals like the “Baby Days” campaign that is currently ongoing.

Baby Days at Walmart — what you need to know

Baby Days is a special campaign held annually by the retailer wherein it offers enticing discounts and deals on products related to toddlers and babies so as to ease the financial burden on the family or parent.

On the company’s official website, it is stated that these deals will be available both online and physically in store. Additionally, shoppers can enjoy the convenience of the express thirty minute delivery option for many of these marked-down items — a service which could be extremely helpful to those with young babies.

Shoppers should place their order or make their way to the nearest Walmart store as soon as possible to reap the benefits of the Baby Days deals as these offers will only be valid until March 31 which is quickly approaching.

The retailer shared a post on social media platform, X, announcing the promotional period that read as follows, “Baby Days is back! Because new parents have enough on their plates, we’re helping customers get and gift baby essentials at the best prices of the season through March 31. Here’s how we’re making life a little easier for growing families: https://walmrt.us/SpecialDelivery”

What kind of discounts can shoppers expect to find?

The slogan for this campaign is “tiny toes, big savings,” according to the image attached to the post on X and in keeping with this, the retailer is offering discounted pricing on a wide array of products from the children and baby departments. Items like strollers, lotions, diapers, safety products, and other similar items have all been discounted.

The retailer has further highlighted that some products even boast a price reduction of up to $70. These deals and discounts are the company’s way of meeting demand from parents for good quality products from both renowned brands as well as alternate yet innovative options — and without breaking the bank.

Discounted products is not the only trick up Walmart’s sleeve this month, however. The retailer has also revealed a completely refreshed baby registry system with a revamped platform. A baby registry is designed to help expectant parents organize their baby product checklists in anticipation of their new arrival. It also helps family and friends eliminate the stress of deciding what gift to get the new parents.

According to the retailer, a few of the new features of the revamped baby registry platform include:

  • A welcome box with complimentary products
  • A gift and receipt tracking system to facilitate returns
  • Checklists for organizing purchases
  • Online registration and mobile app available at over 4,000 stores
  • An extended one-year return window for registered users

Tariff tensions at Walmart

Shoppers should absolutely take advantage of these deals as soon as they can because the escalating trade war and tariff tensions with China are likely to result in price hikes for consumers across many departments.

Whilst the retailer only imports a fraction of goods from China, these new regulations and high tariffs could still spell major trouble for the company. For the last fiscal year, the retailer recorded a net sales growth of 16 percent which amounted to $17 billion.

The company is now faced with the challenge of maintaining its competitiveness in the American market without souring its international relations and operations.
