This influence can also affect the consumer’s health or even their safety. Therefore, items are recalled, preventing any of these other harmful consequences. Recently, a nationwide recall was issued for more than 61,000 CBD Gummies.
The story behind the recall
Federal health officials stated that thousands of cannabidiol gummies that have been distributed across the country and beyond are being recalled. According to reports obtained from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), more than 61,000 CBD gummies from Extract Labs, Inc., are affected.
It may seem that cannabidiol products, which is generally better known as CBD, has made its presence known everywhere in the recent decade. The reason for this is because it really has been becoming extremely popular. The products can be found in several forms such as gummies, tinctures, topical oils, and other products that promise consumers to receive a more relaxing the body, to experience the relieve of pain, and to enable sleep.
In this case, these are the gummies that has been distributed throughout the United States and to other countries. It is important to note that these gummies have been voluntarily recalled. As stated by the FDA, the listed reason for the recall on the gummies is “potential peanut protein cross-contact.” This contamination could pose a severe risk to those people who have peanut allergies.

It has been stated that on September 22, 2025, this recall was updated to reflect a Class II designation. It, therefore, suggest that when someone is exposed to a specific affected product that could cause temporary or reversible harm.
However, in addition to some of the more common symptoms that comes with being exposed to these products are symptoms such as hives and shortness of breath. Although these are some of the most common symptoms, it can also become more severe especially for those people suffering with peanut allergies. There is a possibility that they could experience intense consequences such as anaphylaxis, which could be a life-threatening effect.
