Some of America’s top retailers are affected by a nationwide coffee recall. These coffees are the single-serve pods that are for sale at retail giants such as Walmart, Target, Costco, and Kroger. Over the past few months, many recalls have occurred that affected many retailers. However, these recalls are issued to ensure the health and safety of consumers. This product has been flagged due to a potential contamination risk. Therefore, consumers are encouraged to check if they have this product at home.
The story behind the coffee recall
The coffee that has been recalled is a New Mexico-based Pinon Coffee, which is sold in a single-serve nationwide. According to this specific recall notice from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the seal that is placed over the cups was not applied consistently during the production process.
As a result, this error caused that the food-safe ink printing on some of the cups run when exposed to high temperature. This is the case especially when in a high-pressure water used in a K-cup machine. The ink could potentially contaminate the coffee, as stated by the FDA. Consumers are encouraged not to consumer this product.
The details of the recalled product
This specific recall applies to the 10-count New Mexico Pinon Coffee Dark Pinon Single Serve cups that has a product number of F03308. Also, the UPC number is 812361033081. The packages have a “best by” date of May 8, 2026. In addition, it is important to note that these cups were sold in top retailers such as Walmart, Target, Kroger and Costco.
Some of the other recalled products
Over the past few months there has been several recalls made that affected various retailers. For example, millions of above-ground pools that were for sale at retailer giants such as Walmart, has been recalled after at least nine children have drowned in them. This is something massive and crucial because the main aim of the retailer is to put the health and safety of its consumers.
In addition, the compression strap of the swimming pools that surrounds the outside of the pool may create a support for children to climb on and reach the opening of the pool. Therefore, it may pose as a massive drowning risk for these children. Also, it is important for parents to know that the children can still gain access to the pools by using these footholds even if the ladder is removed.
Therefore, it is essential for guardians to be vigilant and be near the pools when children are playing in the pools. However, in previous news reports consumers has been urged to not allow the children to use these products and to return it to the stores where they purchased the product. This is to prevent the children from getting hurt and to ensure they are safe at all times.
