One of America’s top retailers, Target, made an announcement about the Holiday Deals the retailer will have available soon. This news will definitely stir up some excitement in the retailer’s consumers, and who knows, maybe it will attract new consumers. Consumers are always on the lookout for new deals, and this is what they will get this October at the retail giant.
Details behind the October Holiday Deals at Target
Just like many other retailers, Target has been under considerable pressure due to the increase in Tariff prices. Like its rivals, the company was forced to increase the prices of some of its products, especially those imported from abroad. This is a result of the tariff rates that are continuously increased by the President of America, Donald Trump. In addition, the retailer also received backlash a few weeks ago, specifically based on its diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.
Moreover, the view of Target’s plans it has for the holiday season, were revealed on Tuesday. Currently, the retailer is planning to double the number of new items available to consumers. According to the announcement that was made on Tuesday Morning, the retailer stated that it will have 20,000 new products available to offer to consumers.
It is important to note that, more than half of these new products will be “exclusive” to Target and “thousands” of gift items starting at $5 will also be available. although it may be stated that it is too early for Black Friday plans, Target has announced that its Circle Week of discounts will be held from October 5-11. In addition, from the start of November 1, the retailer will offer “hundreds of holiday deals each week.”
Target is trying to increase the growth of the company after it experienced a turbulent year. The retailer experienced a decline in sales and foot traffic amid rising inflation; it also had to face backlash to its decision to abandon a number of diversity programs as mentioned earlier. Hence, in the wake of the election of President Donald Trump and ongoing cost challenges presented by the tariffs imposed by the president on imports and exports, the company is trying to gain more consumers’ trust.
