Lithuania’s cybersecurity landscape witnesses a breakthrough as Repsense closes its €2 million seed round, marking a pivotal moment for European defense technology. The startup’s innovative approach to information warfare has caught investors’ attention, positioning the company at the forefront of digital threat detection.

A start-up from Lithuania gets major European venture capital

Tensor Ventures, as one of the main partners in the last investment amounting to €1.1 million, partnered with Seed Starter. The latter is known as the corporate venture arm of the Česká spořitelna bank. The two main partners in this investment, namely BSV Ventures and Coinvest Capital, who had invested before, also extended their support during this investment. This is an expression of their confidence and trust in the technological capabilities offered by Repsense. This investment was carried out in 2025.

However, as argued by the CEO, Mykolas Katkus, there is a huge demand for quality information surveillance software in the modern information environment that keeps changing from time to time, and people do not have the relevant software that can predict threats posed by the changing information environment. The investment will enable the quick development of dual-use analytics intelligence in the fields of security as well as commercial matters.

Its ‘flagship solution,’ named ‘Havel,’ is capable of processing stories from over 60,000 sources, including television shows, news organizations, discussion forums, and popular social networking sites like TikTok and Telegram. Its comprehensive monitoring solution is used for the identification of brands, people, things, and innovative ideas for threat analysis.

NATO deployment provides credibility to leading-edge threat detection technology

Repsense has already proven its relevance in its projects connected to the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence and to various governments and companies around the world. The above-listed companies and organizations are already a guarantee that this product is effective in addressing the challenges that companies face regarding information warfare brought about by the age of information that the business world is in today. Repsense is capable of monitoring and predicting information on various social platforms.

The content analysis and recognition technology is employed to ensure that the entire process of the disinformation trends and information is. It is important to highlight that the technology is paramount in an organization that wishes to protect its reputation and remain a step ahead of a threat that is associated with a certain item of information. The technology applies predictive analytics to ensure that the clients receive notifications.

The expansion strategy is based on the two-use marketplace sectors

The new funding will be used to extend disinformation analysis capabilities, as well as build out new functionalities in the realm of analysis of short-form content and object recognition technology in emerging forms of content. The company will look to solidify its offerings in the security and commercial markets, capitalizing on the dual-use aspect of its technology. This was reinforced by Ondřej Lipold, of Tensor Ventures, in terms of the depth of tech adoption in several verticals.

“The information environment itself has become a front line for governments, corporations, and institutions as a whole,” says Mykolas Katkus about why they built this platform to offer decision-makers a chance to see what’s coming and to act accordingly.

RepSense traces its origin to the birth of its narrative DNA forensics technology story, which was crafted by communication expert Mykolas Katkus and Palantir chief engineer Alfredas Chmieliauskas. However, the startup has managed to accelerate its growth in 2025 with the introduction of Liudvikas Andriulis, a tech sales strategist, into its fold.

The successful fundraising of RepSense not only puts the company on the map of serious players in the emerging market of infosec/defense tech in Europe but also puts the Lithuanian start-up company in a perfect position to capitalize on the new trend of sophisticated threat tracking services in the market. This comes on the heels of a recognition by NATO.
